Corrosion started as a club night at the Winter Gardens in Morecambe on the 1st of April 2017. We had no intention of having live music at first but on the 4th of November 2017 we had Auger for the first time. Fast forward to 2018 and we host Auger for a second time but this time we are in The Exchange also in Morecambe. Fast forward again to March 2019 and we are now in our current venue The Alhambra a venue perfect for live music as well as club nights. After getting together with a couple of friends talk of a pocket bespoke international indoor festival of live Alternative music came up based on the music plaid at Corrosion. On the 14 of March 2020 CorrosionFest was our first festival, the weekend after the world of live entertainment went quiet as we locked down. We returned in 2022 with a bigger longer Corrosion Fest and a sister festival based on Trad Goth & Post Punk called Bats In The Attic. We are now concentrating on the live music side of Corrosion and looking forward to growing both festivals.
